About

nicolas fournery

Early on Nicolas Fournery was passionate about ceramics, particularly porcelain exported from China to Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, illustrating the privileged relationship between the West and the Far East. Nantes, his home town, undoubtedly played a major role in this choice.
He graduated from the École du Louvre in 2008, then went on to a specialized training program in Ceramics, followed by a Master 2 at the École Pratique des Hautes Études.
After a number of professional experiences, he chose to become an art dealer.
In 2016, he set up his own gallery specializing in his favorite field: Chinese porcelain from the East India Companies and Japanese export porcelain for Europe.
Nicolas Fournery is a member of the Société des Amis du Musée de la Céramique, the Société des Amis du Louvre and the Oriental Ceramic Society.
