A Chinese Dutch-decorated armorial dish for the Dutch market (Nicolaas Langerak from Delft). Qianlong, 1744

The porcelain, Chinese, decorated in Netherlands, with a border depicting putti supporting a garland of flowers and foliage, with a cartouche containing a monogram surmounted by a crown at the top. In the center, the arms of Nicolas Langerak along with a cartouche that reads “Ns Langerak, 1744.”

Part of the order, including vases and a tureen were in a Dutch collection. Another identical dish is in a private French collection.

Additonal informations :

Nicolaas Langerak, from Delft, married Theodora de Bergh in 1742. He died in 1745 as ‘begraaver der doden’.
