The painting to the centre shows a scholar with his attendant, as well as on the four cartouches on the rim. These scenes are separated by different intricate geometrical designs. The back with a Kangxi six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period, the underside of the rim decorated with four auspicious emblems.
