From the outset, Nicolas Fournery developed a deep passion for ceramics, particularly for porcelain exported from China to Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, illustrating the privileged relationship between the West and the Far East. Nantes, his hometown, undoubtedly played a major role in shaping this vocation. He graduated from the \u00c9cole du Louvre in 2008, then pursued specialized training in ceramics, followed by a Master\u2019s degree at the \u00c9cole Pratique des Hautes \u00c9tudes.<\/p>

After a number of professional experiences, he chose to become an art dealer. In 2016, he established his own gallery, specializing in his field of predilection: Chinese and Japanese Export Porcelain.<\/p>

Nicolas Fournery is a member of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Amis du Mus\u00e9e de la C\u00e9ramique, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Amis du Louvre, and the Oriental Ceramic Society.<\/p>

Since September 2025, Nicolas Fournery has joined the Board of Directors of “Printemps Asiatique”. The event aims to promote the Parisian market for Asian art by bringing together galleries, auction houses, museums, and collectors through exhibitions, themed sales, and a program of lectures and professional meetings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The gallery provides advice to collectors and museums, guiding them in their acquisitions and in the development of their collections. Its digital platform offers broad access to objects of exceptional quality, comparable to those found in major collections and published in leading reference works.<\/p>

In addition to advising private collectors of Chinese export porcelain, Nicolas has made several sales to major museums around the world. Since 2022, Galerie Nicolas Fournery has been a participant in Printemps Asiatique, an event dedicated to Asian art held each June in Paris, where it presents a selection of Chinese porcelains at the Pagoda C.T. Loo, located in the 8th arrondissement. In November 2023, Galerie Nicolas Fournery was selected as one of the Five Young Talents invited by Fine Arts La Biennale (FAB) and exhibited a work at the Grand Palais \u00c9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re in Paris.<\/p>

Committed to scholarly research and the dissemination of knowledge, the gallery notably contributed in 2024 to the funding of the Dresden Porcelain Project, dedicated to the study and digital publication of the Dresden collection of Chinese and Japanese porcelain.<\/p>

In March 2025, the gallery was selected by TEFAF Maastricht, the world\u2019s leading art fair, as one of ten emerging young galleries promoted that year. In March 2026, Galerie Nicolas Fournery will enter the main section of TEFAF, affirming its growing international reputation.<\/p>
