A Chinese armorial plate for the Dutch market (Van Reverhorst). Qianlong period
The rim decorated with three finely painted flower sprays en grisaille and gold, at the well a band of continuous scrollwork and a geometrical figures in gold. In the centre, the Van Reverhorst arms are painted.
This service was made for Adriaan and his brother Theodorus van Reverhorst and part was inherited by the Dutil and Van Laer families through their brother Hermanus (1717-1781).
