Very heavily potted, of domed shape with moulded lip and large ball finial on pedestal. The outside finely painted with bands of rouge-de-fer and gold, and a crest among famille verte sprays, the crest of Talbot On a cap of maintenance gules, turned up ermine, a lion statant, and in the famille rose palette inside the cover.

Two figures Budaï, the god of happiness, modelled in a seated pose, with flowing robes, leaving their bellies exposed, a string of beads in their left hand, decorated in turquoise-glaze, with a short cylindrical joss-stick holder to one side.

Decorated in famille rose enamels, the centre depicting Paris wearing rose drapery, holding a staff, seated on an iron-red rock beside his recumbent hound, offering a golden apple to Venus flanked by Juno and Minerva, with Cupid seated at their feet, a border of gilt spearhead on the rim.
