A Chinese armorial tea set for the French Market (Alexandre de La Motte-Baracé). China, Qianlong period

Decorated in the famille rose palette, with the coat-of-arms of La Motte-Baracé, D’argent au lion de sable, cantonné de quatre merlettes de même (which is Fougerolles), chargé en cœur d’un écusson d’argent à la fasce de gueules, fleurdelisée de six pièces (which is Lamotte). Maltese cross and coat-of-arms supported by two lions.
